Would be fully sure he would be one of the first names on the team sheet unless he's injured ?

Scoring 3 - 4 from play in last year under 20 final and starting for KK Seniors. Can only imagine he's injured.

He was taken off in most of the games for the combined schools.
That tells its own story.

Galway vs Dublin in Birr on Monday. Be an insight into the size and physical state of these teams.

2 17 to 8 points against Antrim.

Big win but don't know anything about Antrim under 20.

Basically playing low level teams until quarter finals. Think offaly play kildare next before the big 4 come into view.

Did enough tonight to get the win. We hit a good few wides which would have been frustrating but hopefully accuracy will be more on point in the quarter final.

Very impressed with Conor Doyle and Rigney. Both have great work rate and pace and well able to take scores. In the backs I thought Mahon was very solid and good on the ball, but overall all the lads can be happy with their outing. Good to get decent game time into lads off the bench too.

As a side note, the team were very late out onto the pitch and many were still pucking around in bibs as the national anthem started. Kildare rushed into an early lead of two points within two mins. Only a small thing but surely management could put a bit more emphasis on planning these things so lads aren't rushing for the throw in.

Kildare at senior and now u20 level seem to be persisting with a similar style to their footballers in the 90s - wasting loads of energy retaining possession within their 45 from a puckout before eventually being turned over or being forced to make a bad pass under pressure.

The quarter final will be a massive step up. Hopefully we can get a good crowd in to shout on the lads.

Interesting points made there. Kildare had a definite style to their play but not the hurlers to implement it. Having said that, their goal was excellent and they ran straight through offaly. Offaly have the players but no way apparent way of playing. Could not deal with Kildare extra man at the back for long periods.
Offaly had the game well won and still brought on players who were injured judging by the strapping they were wearing. There was no need for cathal king to take to the field in the 2nd half and they brought on a player who was heavily strapped when ten points ahead.
Mgt set up did not seem tuned in as they were all over the place when the anthem started and there was no final pep talk due to getting the timing wrong. First time it has happened I think but should never happen.
Can't see this team winning the next game which will basically be the first time they play against good opposition.
