Minor footballers have had good results over Limerick and Westmeath in the last week or so, hopefully getting on the right track.

Best of luck to the U20's who have a tough opener tomorrow night away to Louth. Few injuries have left them up against it but if they get stuck in and keep composure up there hopefully they can get over the line.

Best of Luck to the U20's tonight, missing a lot of good lads through injuries all right.

Not sure on the levels that this Dublin minor hurling team re operating at, but it seemed to be a decent second half performance by our minors on Sat and they appeared to have put up a great fight with the late goals putting a gap between them. Push on now lads with a bit of confidence.

Fair dues to the management for taking on the job and not easy.
As was pointed out in this thread, we need to keep plugging away now with the S&C and skills as well as schools and clubs, but also every effort must be made to ensure that our management teams are well looked after and supported in there roles, and encourage people into it. Clubs are taking the best and throwing made money at them, often with limited success.

But it going lads, and I'd say the same to the minor football management who hopefully are turning a corner also in advance of championship.

Dublin minors have been very poor for the last few years and according to supporters at the match there are no great expectations with this team either, but at least they aren't a million miles ahead of us. We are lucky to have been drawn in a tier where we avoid Galway and Kilkenny, and will surely account easily for Kerry and give Wexford a rattle in a home fixture. Good luck to all involved and to the Minor footballers as well, of which there a few dual players.

Dublin scored 4-10 out of 4-18 from play, offaly, 7 points out of 19.
Offaly rallied very strongly to come back at Dublin who obviously thought they had the game won. Wexford bet kerry by 26 points so offaly should win by 10 to 15. Dublin haven't contested a leinster final in 5 years. The focus for them has shifted to u20 as they view minor now as a development age and not as important as a guide for senior hurling as it was before.

Minors bet kerry. Not pretty viewing by all accounts. Wexford up next.

Are Offaly out of the championship, after today’s loss?

No, win over kerry means they have at least one more game. Think, laois, westmeath and kildare are the possible opposition. They were on the other side in tier 2. They played knockout games today vs carlow, Antrim and meath.

Very sad news in Laois over the weekend and sincere sympathy to the young lads family and friends. Terrible accident in Galway also.

Will minor game go ahead as planned on Wed, and if so, is it in Faithful Fields on Wed and what time?
