Jumped before they were pushed. Wonder why harte felt he had to go because kelly was going?

What a bluffer.Tmacmahon wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2026 11:09 am Management to be reappointed for two more years even though players who are guaranteed starters have asked for a change and also clubs are unhappy. It is unfair but the county board have decided they want DK and MH to remain, so we need to move on now. Hopefully we gain promotion in 2027 and a Tailteann Cup if we achieve both them things the whole thing has been acceptable . Best of luck to all involved
Re: Offaly management 2027
Bluffer, really? Or completely on the money and narrative changed for everyons sake? Good man Frank
Re: Offaly management 2027
I believe Tmac is right on the money here and all correct when that was written from what I've heard. Management wanted to stay on. Large majority of Co board exec wanted management to stay on. Narrative changed drastically when they realised the players sought change and were totally against them staying and that a number of big football clubs were totally against it also. If it went to a vote, it wouldve been comprehensively defeated and so they were afforded the opportunity and dignity to 'Step Away' rather than be 'Sacked'.

The amount of rubbish written on this forum is incredible. Examples being all the sages here who wrote they were re-appointed.
The general personal invective from some posters here is also a disgrace. A bit of common decency is apparently a rare thing these days.
Thanks to all on the management team for their effort over the last 2-3 years. The league final last year was a notable highlight and a great day. I wish them well going forward.

Past is the past
We need to get someone in with no baggage or a puppet for certain clubs
Who ever comes in is going to be frank with the players none of this 3 year plan
Rubbish floating around spin .
Wish the best for DK ( was. Not a fan )
And MH .
Hopefully a new chapter in offaly history is going to be written.
Enjoy the sun

o rourke belongs in retirement . he was a disaster for meath? why would anyone think hes a good idea? id rather harte and kelly.
Re: Offaly management 2027
Thanks to the outgoing management in DK and MH. I know I probably leaned towards criticising more than applauding but at the end of the day, they put themselves in the firing line for what they thought were the correct decisions and that has to be admired. At the same time, it was probably needed.
Rochford would be a great appointment but obviously will want to be well compensated.

Stephen Rochford would be a fantastic appointment.
Whether he'd want to do it is another question. It's a long way from Crossmolina and lets be honest, we're not exactly an 'on broadway' proposition.

Who in your opinion would be a good Offaly SF Manager? A lot of generalities in your comments.
