I find the narrative that Cappincur were miles better than Ballinagar in the Division 2 league final and would have won had it not been for tiring bodies and fitness a bit strange. Having been at the game I was not of that opinion, and had Ballinagars shooting and decision making been slightly better in the first 20 minutes they would have been level if not ahead of Cappincur. Deserving winners in the end and fair play to them after a shakey start to the league they peaked at the right time.

The Senior B championship will be an exciting watch this year, seems to be 6 evenly enough matched teams in it. I fancy Daingean myself but hard to rule out Tullamore. Ballinagar also have some very good players and could be in with a shout, though I feel the other teams I mentioned are slightly ahead. Cappincur could sneak in to a final and anything can happen after that.

Yeah, whats going on with that. Are Shamrocks that good or is Edenderry in major trouble. Could Shamrocks win county title?

Edenderry gave up. Very worrying for them . No sign of there manager on the line either. Shamrocks were very good. But met no resistance. Edenderry missing 7/8 players from last years team. Edenderry lucky they can’t get relegated they are that poor

He sates Eamon O Conner is one of the best referees in the county

But not long ago he also stated the controversial decisions in the county final that time but he didn't. Have the honesty to call it when it happened

Maybe I have been under a rock but recently edenderry announced Peter Brady, Greg Farrelly and Adrian Farrell as a management team and none of them present tonight. Possibly the worst set up from any team in senior football what’s going on over there ?

I think it basically comes down to Edenderry just not being at it this year. They are quite fortunate to be in the strong group as they would be facing a relegation final in any other year. It sounds like management have been ran or walked so if it was any other year, they would be in bother.

I actually think the championship has been brilliant, particularly for the weaker group but also for the stronger side. Shamrocks and Rhode drawing, Rhode just beating Ferbane, while all the weaker side games have been draws or 1 score games.

I agree, I think the new structure is fantastic and has re-invigorated the whole championship.
The 'strong group' has the enough jeopardy to keep it interesting while the 'weak' group is a complete free for all. The 'weak' group in particular has benefited with all those teams now getting meaningful matches against teams of a similar level at the height of summer - whoever comes out will be better prepared for a quarter final.
All the games are interesting/competitive and there are no obvious mismatches as has happened in other years (well apart from edenderry).

Rhodes win the standout of the weekend. Ferbane just didn't click and were deserving loosers. Rhode now odds on for a semi-final spot?

Match Programme had Management team as Peter Brady, Greg Farrelly, Colm Cummins and Michael Bryan - No mention of Adrian Farrell. Peter Brady wasn't present - someone at the game said that he was on holidays. Rumours of a row in the camp as well.

Fully Agree - Championship has been brilliant. Games are competitive (apart from Edenderry who obviously have some internal issues). Good tight games - these will get the supporters out and it's just a pity that we don't have a manager in place who can attend some of the games and maybe unearth a few more players to add to the county squad.

Shamrocks very good start. Came out firing fast but edenderry just looked flat from the very beginning. Chatting people from Shamrocks and they now saying its there championship to loose. Tullamore and ferbane under strength with losted players and they are going to take then. Not sure of that now. They good definitely a semi-final spot with Rhode, Tullamore and ferbane but I cant see they winning championship. Shamrocks have looked like a team building over the last few years after beating clara in a relegation final stranger things have happened . Ferbane v rhode and Tullamore v Shamrocks in the 3rd rounds two good games and i think they will be the last 4 in championship with Tullamore making the final
