Re: Offaly Senior B Hurling Championship
It seems we are at the behest of our journalists as to what senior B games are covered.
Clara v Clodiagh Gaels has been the only one so far with a match report online.
Fairly sure all of the senior b football games have been covered.
I heard young Sean Carey was outstanding for Seir Kieran.
Carrig 1 point from 2 games and may be getting a bit panicked, although they perhaps have the 2 hardest games behind them now.
Anyone know who they have next?

The hill that I’ll die on is that only 3 teams should qualify for the knockouts in this competition.
15 games to eliminate 2 teams. Not really “championship” is it?

10 games to eliminate 2 in the Munster championship and we are told that is the greatest sporting competition in the worldfrankthetank wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:40 am The hill that I’ll die on is that only 3 teams should qualify for the knockouts in this competition.

You do know that’s 5 games less than the Offaly Senior B championship right?faithfulfanatic wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 11:09 am10 games to eliminate 2 in the Munster championship and we are told that is the greatest sporting competition in the worldfrankthetank wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:40 am The hill that I’ll die on is that only 3 teams should qualify for the knockouts in this competition.

I totally agree. In a 6 team championship, 3 teams making the knockout stages is enough. I would just have 2.frankthetank wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:40 am The hill that I’ll die on is that only 3 teams should qualify for the knockouts in this competition.

Big win for Clara yesterday over Drumcullen, 3-25 to 4-12.
Clara will need at least another win over Seir Kieran, Carrig & KK to avoid another meeting with Drumcullen in a relegation final.
Was anyone at the game?
Again, no match report or news available from Offaly GAA or any journalists.
