What do people think is a realistic crowd expectancy at the game?

30k I'm thinking, based on minor final last year which held 24k in nowlan park plus another few thousand for the minor all ireland

If Cork are beaten this weekend by Limerick they might bring a few more as this would be their last intercounty match for the year.

I would say 20/25 is more realistic

For last year's minor final ticket sales were halted a few days beforehand.
As children didn't require a ticket, it dawned on the organisers that there was no way of telling how many children would turn up and they were afraid they would oversell.
That may have dented the final turn out.

I would think closer to 30,000 would be expected in Thurles next Sunday.

We’ll bring around 15k, Cork could bring up to 10k and Galway and Clare could bring 5k each.

The Ardan O Riain stand was sold out early on Wednesday.

Offaly will bring in excess of 15k, maybe 20k.. there was more than that from offaly in nowlan park last year, can’t see cork bringing 10k

Galway are in the minor All Ireland pracically every year and are poor supporters to travel in general. Can’t see them bringing more than 1,500.

Clare have the Munster Final the following weekend possibly in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Coupled this with the fact that only around 4,000 attended the Munster U20 final I wouldn’t foresee them bringing 5,000 either. Maybe around 3,500.

By sheer demographics Cork should bring a relatively large crowd and are hot favourites. Maybe up around 5,000.

We’ll bring a massive crowd. We do hype and bandwagons to amazing levels. Wouldn’t be surprised to see 15,000 there from Offaly.

Throw in 1,000 neutrals and that gets you to 26,000. We’ll know if it’s bigger than that if they open one of the terraces next week.

Very few will travel from galway, less than 1k. Clare might bring 2k but I'd be surprised if they did with the senior team doing so well and the cost of going to so many matches. Cork might bring 4 or 5k as they are red hot favourites

Ticketmaster have it as low availability since yesterday so must be closing in on a sell out. One of the stands was sold out earlier in the week.

I'm surprised they didn't put the Town End terrace tickets on sale from day one. A lot of the teenager and young adult groups would rather congregate together on a terrace than try to grab seats in the stands.

If the stands sell out, they'll have to change tack and open a terrace.

How exactly can it be closing in on a sell out if there are 22,000 available terrace spots free to be utilised if needs be?

Well its a sell out if all available tickets are sold. Only the two stands have been on sale and 1 is sold out and the other nearly sold out. thats where its at.

I'd expect at least 15k from Offaly for this game probably at expense of many not going to Croke Park tomorrow. It is biggest game for Offaly hurling possibly since the All Ireland final of 2000.

Cork will be well supported, maybe up around 5 or 6k. Lots of stand tickets would have been bought in advance by clubs bringing groups of kids to games so I'd expect at least half of what is currently in stands as u16s.

Clare and Galway would likely draw 7 or 8k for stand alone all ireland minor final and with neutrals etc taking up more tickets, could see 30k easily attending these games.

They will need to open both terraces I think.

They made huge mistake for Leinster final in putting it in Cullen Park meaning lots of people who wanted to go could not get ticket or attend as it was sold out the day before the match. That game should have been moved to Nowlan Park to facilitate everybody.

Except the players of course who would have been gearing up for Cullen Park for a week. But they’re not really important are they?!?!
