Don't know, but Darragh and Shane Fives' mother is from Lusmagh if I'm not mistaken.
Any other inter county stars with parents from Offaly?

That is correct, LC. Also, Aaron Craig (Westmeath right half-back) also has a Lusmagh mother, who herself is a sister of the Fives' mother.

Mark Dunne, Galway camogie manager has a Lusmagh mother and Clareen father.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

I'm being told by a lurker here with local knowledge that Brendan Kealy's (former Kerry goalkeeper) has a mother who hails from Ballycumber.
And that Jay Tabb (who I've never heard of but who played soccer for Reading and Ipswich) has connections around Rahan who he used visit in his childhood summers and which qualifies him to play for Ireland.

I saw Jay Tabb play one game. He single-handedly won a play-off final for Reading if memory serves me correct. (Although now I'm doubting myself; they might have lost, but I'm not a keen viewer of foreign sports, but I definitely remember him being the best player on the pitch)

There was a McIntyre on the Kerry minor team a couple of years ago. Any hope of Wallace bringing him up?
Good Luck

Yes, his mother is from Clonbullogue. She moved away when she married.

His older brother use to spend summers in the village and is still friendly with a few of the older players in the area. James was also a special guest at the Clonbullogue dinner dance a couple of years ago when they won the Junior A.

He has a cousin that plays with Clonmore Harps as far as I know - Murphy chap

Kind of a confessional! The late Kevin Heffernan, Dublin manager in the 1970's, had a father from Offaly. He was a Garda in Dublin, from Bracknagh I believe.

Regarding Kevin Heffernan:::

I was always told as a child that Kevin Heffernan was actually born in Offaly (Tullamore maternity Unit ??) and would be very aggressive when it was mentioned to him,,,,

He had an intense dislike to that being discussed,,,,,,,,,,,, Was his Dad actually stationed in Portarlington at some stage ?? That was mentioned somewhere and was his mother not also Offaly ??
