Enda mulhare did a really good job over the last 2 years it must be said.
Can you back that up with evidence that doesn't reference his playing career?
Went back to back as coach of Lorrha, winning Tipp intermediate and premier intermediate in 2022 and 2023.

he couldnt have broken his jaw as he connected with his shoulder, video & photo proves that. thats why tipp appealed they couldnt if it was to the head. the tackle was a hard one but a yellow

It's the offaly minor hurling manager not limerick seniors our last manager ever train a team before he took them over?

And this is part of the reason we are where we are.

Why should we have “it’s only the minors” attitude?

Frank, you are right to a point, lorrha were massive, massive favourites to win the intermediate and carrolls involvement in that year was not full on for a couple of reasons. The premier intermediate is hard won and lorrha would have been in the top 4 but it was a note worthy achievement to win it and Carroll was full on that year.

Tipp hurling has a huge spread of team who are very good. Haven't done well at munster is down to ballygunner who are one of the greatest team ever to play. Going four 4 in a row in munster.

Caroll was one of offalys best forwards, he's won county's as a player he loves the game. He's the senior manager of coolderry. It's an u17 grade. Its a developmental grade. You be doing incredibly well to get a better candidate to take a minor team. Its also a volunteer role. It takes up huge amount of time and effort for what will be little material award. If I was a young lD I'd be very happy with that appointment.

I dont any issue with the appointment, again its the u17 grade, these are very young hurlers.

Some very unfair commentary here I think. Fletcher is involved with Down and other senior teams. Why would he drop them for Offaly minors.

As for Carroll, he was involved in those successes with Lorrha. He has been a strong inter county player since early 2000s and one of Offalys highest scorers and most capped players. He has experience from Coolderry too and played game at high level for years. What people haven't mentioned is he is a PE teacher with probably 15 years experience teaching, used to working with young lads that age. With that fitness and coaching knowledge thatd take a 4 year degree to get, it'd give him more professional knowledge on coaching knowledge than anyone above mentioned, including our current senior manager. Maybe the fact he actually hurled senior for last 20 yrs and has young family is part of reason he has not been able to develop the 'coaching experience' some here require for a minor job.

The Offaly senior experience was for a few weeks when things were pear shaped anyway.

Someone here seems to have a personal issue with Carroll and throwing that out here. I'd suggest if he has good selectors who know the talent available, then it could be a very good appointment.

Can people STOP undermining the Minor hurling manager before he takes up the role.

Best wishes to Brian. And best wishes to the players, about to embark on an exciting journey of development, both as hurling players and as young adults.
Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

To be honest, it just sounds like one man here trying to undermine him…

From everyone else’s perspective he’s a solid appointment and with anyone who has the cajones to take over a team, I wish him the best of luck

The best of luck to Brian Carroll not in the job a wet week some on here are knocking him. He deserves the support of the county and hopefully the players develop under his guidance . It’s only a development grade in reality now anyway ok it’s nice to get good results but if we can develop 3/4 players from each minor group on top of what’s there we won’t be in too bad a spot in a few yrs . Not saying we will be winning all irelands but we will be back competing
