Well if it was moved 4 or 5 days in advance when they knew it would sell out, what difference would that have made. Similar distance, similar size pitch, same size goals, better surface, more room for family members who could not get tickets etc. How would it have inconvenienced the players :?: :?: :?:

Carlow had floodlights; Kilkenny doesn't. That's how.

Clare have the Munster Final the following weekend possibly in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Coupled this with the fact that only around 4,000 attended the Munster U20 final I wouldn’t foresee them bringing 5,000 either. Maybe around 3,500.

By sheer demographics Cork should bring a relatively large crowd and are hot favourites. Maybe up around 5,000.

We’ll bring a massive crowd. We do hype and bandwagons to amazing levels. Wouldn’t be surprised to see 15,000 there from Offaly.

Throw in 1,000 neutrals and that gets you to 26,000. We’ll know if it’s bigger than that if they open one of the terraces next week.
Killinan Terrace tickets are now on sale so we could be looking at a 30,000 attendance.

Noticeably they're selling them for €20 which is just €5 less than the stand price. Because if they sold them for the normal €15 there would be noise from people who paid €25 for stand tickets last week but wanted a cheap terrace ticket.

Best of luck to the team and mgt next Sunday. Busy this week as these matches are murder on catching up on all the jobs to be done, so will keep the head down.
Just want to say to the kids and younger supporters to enjoy the experience again, and soak it up and don't ever take these days for granted.
To the rest, ye've a job to do in supporting these guys, and don't just sit back waiting to be entertained, stick with them , through thick and thin, and it will be tough. Cork will be out for blood after the way the Seniors were pipped over the last 2 weeks.
BUT BY JAY, WOULDN'T it be worth anthing to put one over on the smugest of the smug Donal Og!!!!

Let there be no booing, too much of it last Sat, started by the Carlow crew but we got good at it also, bring water and non salty sandwiches, don't drink too many pints, bring flags and lets make it a great occasion. Our young lads at least are starting to be able to live with the big match crowds which is invaluable experience for the future.

To the players, ye've done us proud, but of course we are good enough to win and we tant to win. However, be calm, focussed, think of all the difficulties ye've overcome, and when right bring savage intensity, clever support play, cuteness, and you are 1 of 20 so you have 5% of the responsibility........so no nerves....the county is with ye, and without blowing smoke, ye are already heros. Enjoy this week, get the study done for exams and back yourselves. All the best, I may get back to work, 2 weeks work to be done this week!!

This, 100%. It started in Carlow with a reaction to a perceived injustice, but there was way too much of it last Saturday.

Very easy get a bad name for this. It's not supporting your team, and it's not sport. Any before long, the opposition are paying back, with interest. And then it's just ugly.

That's roughly 22,000 seats sold. 15k in the Old Stand, 9k in the New Stand, less a 10% reduction due to unreserved seating.

Yet again another mess with ticketing to watch this group.

I know plenty of families who rushed to buy tickets last week as the ticketmaster site panicked people by claiming limited availability. All they could get were the stand tickets and so you now have probably many hundreds of teenagers with juvenile tickets for the stands who would like to go to the terrace with their pals. Now, because of the juvenile tickets for the terrace are only a fiver, many of them will just buy those.
On the other hand I've had two different people already on to me looking for pairs of stand tickets for adult today, and while many juvenile tickets will probably not be used they will be no good for adults to take off their hands.
Why couldn't the geniuses in charge have released both terrace and stand tickets at the same time when we all knew there would be a substantial crowd attending. Its infuriating.

I didn't realise that the terrace tickets did not go on sale at the same time as the stand tickets.
Maybe they didn't think or want to open another area of the stadium to have to put stewards into and leave the stand three quarters full.

Anyone who didn't buy a stand ticket if they wanted one has only got themselves to blame particularly after the debacle with nowlan park last year. As soon as the link went up I bought mine straight away. Most other people did the same. It took until last night for both stands to sell out.

Is there much of a difference in price between the stand and terrace anyway? I think it's all the same price.

The way they’ve done it by releasing terrace tickets after the stand has sold out is gonna result in a 75% full stand anyway as a lot of U16’s will head for the terrace now despite having stand tickets.

Also Bloggs, if an adult is looking for a stand ticket but can only source a juvenile one then they should take it. They won’t be turned away once they have a ticket, most stewards don’t bother checking to see if it says Adult/OAP/U16 etc or if it says Stand/Terrace and even if they do, they don’t want the hassle of an argument.
