Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015
i dont think there will be many outside people willing to take on the job unless its extremely financially attractive. the assertion that we need someone to take us back into the top 8 is a lovely thought but the chances are zero in the near to medium future.out antiquated and out of date youth poli...

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State
i listened to the inteview again and i think the point p boland was trying to make was that cody doesnt need to tolerate players who do step out of line..he has as good chomping at the bit to replace them.we got a small pool of players so we gotta indulge them a bit,no choice.i remember when offaly ...

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
i heard the interview and read the article. jesus cleary really shot himself in the foot... i was chatting a man involved with offaly hurling about 15/20 years ago and he said having successful minor teams was a bad thing for the county.he said getting a few hungry young lads into senior every year ...

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary - 2014 All-Ireland SHC qualifier Rou
we simply dont have enough players of the standard required to give the big guns a game.while brian w mightnt be the best manager in the country hes not the worst either.remember since m bonds tenure we have had high profile managers with little or no success .its grandually got worse..a sort of slo...

Re: All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers Round 1 Antrim v Offaly
while a win is a win i tend to agree with above poter who says we were better off with a narrow defeat..whats facing us now? tipp/galway,waterford or clare/wexford will show no mercy...were simply not in that class at the moment sadly

Re: Clare looking for an Investigation!
where did i say we would have an all ire in 5 years?i was making the point that offaly(co board mostly),,maybe since mcgee have been quick to blame managers and sack them without giving them sufficent time...and id be slow to label people dumb so quickly.a lot of offaly people would agree with the s...

Re: Clare looking for an Investigation!
id say one of the biggest mistakes ever made by the offaly county board was sacking paul o kelly. the fact he didnt manage any high profile team after after is incidental.i dont know him from adam but id say he was sickened by the whole thing and lost intrest thereafter. the decision to sack him was...

Re: Strength And Conditioning
theres too much made of loughanne by everyone from clare people to the media in general.he threw away and all ireland in 96 by playing the wrong team against limerick.the first year he was gone cyril lyons got an aging clare team to an all ireland final.he then went to galway, took over a good team a...
