Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
If Dan Ravenhill and Adam Screeney are unavailable we could be there for the taking, along with the heavy workload currently in place for Dan Bourke and Cathal King.

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Be a huge shock if Cork don’t win Munster.

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Galway and Kilkenny as Tier 1 group winners are directly into the semi-finals. And they can't meet each other so it's Kilkenny vs ????? Galway vs ???? If we progress to the semi-final I would be pretty confident it would be on TV as this U20 team is pretty high profile with the likes of Dan Ravenhil...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Offaly 5/6
Laois 6/5.
Handicap is Laois +1
Bookies say there’s nothing between them.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Offaly's scoring rate tailed off after 50 minutes in the league games. A more sustainable pace of play will be needed in the McDonagh games. The difference in the intensity brought by the opposition should play a part here on Sunday. Laois more than likely like Offaly are incapable of bringing a hi...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
It's shocking. Details revealed only yesterday (Tuesday), 11 days before the Saturday. The Meagher, Rackard, Ring and McDonagh cups aren't deemed to be spectator sports, don't have sponsors and as a result there is zero promotion of the games. Why did it take so long to confirm the details of these...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
It's not the end of the world. The point at least guarantees we don't finish 3rd and avoid the preliminary quarter final. Our likely quarter final opponents are Wexford, Laois or one of the tier 2 teams, based on the draw. A win today and we would have avoided Kilkenny until a possible Leinster Fin...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Firstly any synopsis of the game has to take into account the woeful conditions this game was played in. There was water lying on the stand side sideline and conditions deteriorated as the game progressed due to intermittent heavy showers. It was a testament to all players that we got such an enjoya...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
For me it’s simple.
The only teams we beat were relegated to Division 4 so we’re showing Division 4 form.
Highly doubtful we’ll beat Laois. They’re big lumps. We are not.

Re: Club Managers 2024
Paul Keane seems to be your stereotypical current hurling manager who enjoys the managerial circuit. I’m sure it’s all for the love of the game. His Shinrone appointment will see him manage a club in 4 different counties since 2017. (At least) Adare (Limerick) Burgess (Tipperary) O’Callaghan Mills (...

No venue has been confirmed for the Down game. So Newry is as much on the table as Ballycran. Then again so is Portaferry!!!!

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Offaly began the 2019 season as favourites for the Joe McDonagh and ended up relegated to the Christy Ring. It means zero.
