Re: Offaly V Laois Hurling - predict the FT score

Laois had a better league than us, they hurled some excellent hurling in some of their matches, beat Offaly easily enough in the league, despite Offaly finishing strongly to make the score a bit closer (4 points I think in the end)...I think Laois's midfield and forwards are just that little bit str...

Re: Offaly V Laois Hurling - predict the FT score

not that I heard..Midland Tribune were running with Eoghan Cahill in goals, Ben Conneely, Pat Calmon, Shane Dooley and Oisin Kelly as probably definite starters, the listed all the injured players, Connor Mahon I think they said is fit again, interesting to see if he will start...

Re: Offaly V Meath LSFC - FT score prediction

I cannot see us being blessed with the result or the score of the 1997 Leinster Final somehow!...

Re: Meath v Offaly 12th May 2019 @3pm Navan

In reply to greenairfield, where exactly are all the Offaly scores in this "good start" or Meath "not turning up" going to come from, I think during the league from memory we hit 15 point mark in one game (V Carlow??)...Meath are not world beaters and while they struggled to beat...

Re: Meath v Offaly 12th May 2019 @3pm Navan

hopefully Offaly will be competitive on Sunday, that would be my ask of them, and if they are, they will stay with Meath bit, I cannot see either how Meath can be such favourites, fair play they got out of Division 2, but what else have they done in recent times??..they may be well back in Div 2 nex...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

don't worry, the county board will ensure the fixtures are fulfilled..we wont hear any "Newbridge or no where" type comments from OCB officials..you wont get high profile positions on Leinster Council or with Croke Park by voicing opposition...it will be radio 3 for most of these matches i...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

it is, and no one is being smart or need to check their facts, we know the facts as they are, whether we agree or not is our perogitive, but we can make the view, I would say the issue of Coolderry playing all those games as outline by other contributor is very valid, but the bulk of those games wer...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

not sure who is being referred to about the "smart replies" above, anyway, I am just making a point a lot of people seem to be in agreement with, our championships should be progressing, at the very least in the month of April as assigned, 2 rounds of SHC is not good enough, keeping the sy...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

by the way, playing your fringe/panel in these league games is not a solution to weaker players not getting games..easy to trust them to fulfill a fixture to keep the county board happy but NOT trust them in a round of the championship...that line does be trotted out by the powers that be "oh l...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

not surprised so many agree with my view, these League games do appear to be part of the problem, in all honestly when you look at some of the fixtures (league) and wonder who the hell bothers or will even remember these games by years end, and these are played yet a round of the championship cannot...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019

ridiculous assigning April to "club month" and yet here we only have 2 rounds of SHC early in the month (completed Sunday 7th April) and then nothing more until July..Joe McDonagh or not its either club month or not, and for all counties...we have is it 12 Senior Clubs, loads of games whic...

Re: NHL Division 1B 2019

interesting view on Carlows 2 goals...Christy Heffernan played full forward for Kilkenny and was renowned for "making" goals for his corner forwards, such as Harry Ryan, Liam Fennelly and players of that ilk...Carlows might claim they worked 2 goals on Sunday, high ball in or not, did not ...
