Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?
mmm..interesting..hard to know with Bergin not starting, maybe management know/reckon someone else might be "able" for the Kerry No.6..Gath may not actually start on him (the Kerry No.6)...or else they are gambling (I know, I know people will say we cant afford to gamble) but maybe they ar...

Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?
I was reading his twitter posts there, apparently the treatment of one of the players dropped is his (Regans) gripe...I can see where he's coming from if that's the case BUT as I said earlier, players come and go, this happens from top to bottom in GAA in particular, has he (Regan)never been "s...

Re: Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?
another "distraction"..if I hear the line "oh Kevin is a good friend, a great Offaly man, owes Offaly nothing blah blah"...we know Kevin (Martin) is all the foresaid, no one is debating that, had he the ability to dig us out of the hole we were falling so far into with the bottom...

Offaly V Kerry JMCD cup - can we win this game?
rather than getting mulled up in all the other posts on the other JMCD blog, straight forward, do faithful fans think we can go to Tralee and get a win, and what changes might need to be made from Antrim defeat?

Re: Offaly v Sligo Round 2 Qualifier
One would imagine Offaly SHOULD win this, your right with the health warnings...its only a few weeks ago we were battling against relegation to DIV 4...improved, apparently, lets give it our best shot...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
If Westmeath loose one more game, I think it is all to play for (again)...they have Antrim and Laois away, so it is possible, and of course that's provided Offaly win their two games also..

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
Just looking at the table of the JMCD Cup, we are bottom, potentially, we could make the final (STILL) Laois have Westmeath for their last game on 15th June, same day as we have Kerry, if Westmeath lose to Laois, and we score well, we can still make it by my reckoning, wouldn't it be great if we cou...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
mathematically now, are Offaly back in with "a chance" of reaching the final of this competition after Westmeaths defeat to Kerry on Saturday, that's hoping somehow Offaly can beat both Antrim and Kerry and Kerry/Westmeath loose to Laois if they (Kerry/Westmeath) have yet to play Laois...w...

yeah, I suppose once you avoid a bigger team, it is a chance to build on the Meath performance, are we home or away, missed the start of the draw...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
biffinbanner if Kerry beat us in Birr, so be it, I don't remember Kerry beating us in Birr in any league game that I can remember, if was championship, its in recent times and would surely have been in Tullamore...as cited elsewhere, the statistics of Birr even when we were supposedly "poor&quo...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
I suppose Tommy will reply, like most of these jobs, not too many (if anyone will put themselves forward) having said that there always seems to be someone that is willing to run against the Chairman but being Ireland and voting and deals, the status quo generally has it all sewn up to ensure they w...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
Birr and Saint Rynaghs, Coolderry and KK have delivered leinster Club and All Ireland Club Championships within the last 25 years, have we to go back to Ferbane in 1986 for last Offaly team to win a LSFC,...Walsh Island winning the two in last 1970's is 40 years ago now, is that still recent enough ...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
well look back (I know we are not meant to be dwelling on past glories!) at the late 1970's and early 1980's, it was schools in Birr, Banagher, Roscrea, Lorrha etc. (despite being in Tipp children from Coolderry, Kinnity, Shinrone, Clareen, Ballyskenagh etc. Eyrecourt, Killimor, Portumna, etc in Gal...
