Any chance of an interview on the board with one of the players? A lot has happened in the last 8 weeks since the Championship kicked off against Westmeath and a lot of good views, arguments and debate have been posted on this board. Certainly plenty of material for an interesting discussion with so...

The defeat yesterday was pretty comprehensive and on the day we were beaten by a much better team. Looking forward there are some easy takeawys and some more difficult ones. The easiest of all is the quick fee. Laois needed on average five second to deliver the ball, Offaly needed at least 30 second...

Sunday's game

Just read the result of Westmeath v Galway. So if Westmeath can beat Galway in Galway then Surely we will account for Laois. Offaly on the day were 10 points + ahead of Westmeath and Laois are are on a par with Galway. Can't work out the result exactly but I'm sure that somebody on the board who man...

Sunday's game

It is a lot of change but I don't think it's too much for this stage of the championship. Laois made big changes after being hammered by Dublin and then went on to beat Tyrone and Meath. In fact the changes may unsettle the Laois game plan more than the Offaly plan as it will leave them having to de...

Analysis

Overall a good performance from the team and should give us good confidence going into the Laois game once we get over the initial disappointment. Croke Park is traditionally worth 3 points to Dublin and yesterday with their huge support and the performance of the referee it was worth at least that....

Not sure what the weather will be like but I'm sure down on the pitch it will be pretty hot. Normally goals may win matches but on Sunday points will be decisive. Now that the secret is out that we have a dynamite full forward line expect Dublin to deploy the counter counter strategy on Sunday. Just...

Championship Wins

It's a good point and interesting to note that a few years ago before the playoffs were introduced three champinship wins would have meant an All Ireland final appearance for teams from Munster and Connaught with a bye in the provincial first round. Three more of the same and it means a spot in the ...

Just read the RTE report on the game which indicates that Offaly scraped through against Dublin. I had expected a bit more comfortable of a margin but a win is a win and that's what counts. Brian Whelahan scored the winning goal but I agree with the posts above- he is one of the best players of all ...

Clear Again

After all that's happened last night's clearance must count as our third victory in this year's championship.
Now for number four against Wexford.

Not the result we wanted but OK if we can't beat Wexfod by a good margin then we have absolutely no business playing Kilkenny in a Leinster final only to be trounced. Better for a young developing team to go into the playoff group and compete against tems of a similar standard and hopefully emerge a...

Offaly v Kildare

Based on League form Kildare will probably consider themselves favourites finishing their group with 6 points as opposed to Offaly's 5. Hopefully the momentum from our win over Westmeath will carry us through.

Offaly 1 - 10 Kildare 1 - 8

Offaly v Laois

If Offaly is to consider itself a serios contender for Leinster honours the margin against Laois wll need to be minimum ten points.
