Re: Club Football Championship 2022

So it’s ok that joe o Connor has walked off a panel and he should be facilitated where Dunne and O Toole should not  Dunne and O Toole have far more than o Connor to offer. I do rate o Connor and would not be against him getting another chance. Tullamore have Ciaran Burns, Luke Egan , Luke and ...

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022

Hurling week here we come Birr v KK Belmont v shinrone I asked earlier in the year can Belmont realistically do it , Let’s see I keep changing my mind on this . Heart says Belmont and birr final But , I believe we will see,Birr champions 2022. And in birr terms that’s a famine of sorts well based on...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022

Tullamore will be favourites for the final but I think Rhode have more than a pinchers chance. Sullivan fitness will maybe tip the chances from being really good to maybe if things went really well. Both teams were pedestrian in their play and this appears to be a pattern over the last few weeks. Fe...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022

Tough to take , could have won it , perhaps should have. None of that matters. Well done Rhode and best of luck in the final

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022

Belmont and shinrone have a chance that will not very often come for both clubs. It will be interesting to see how they cope with the expectation and the pressure such a game presents.

Re: Club Football Championship 2022

Ferbane v Clara A brilliant game of football in which both teams really played with great desire and grit, best game of the year. Clara can count themselves very unlucky not to see the game out but there is no denying Ferbane the plaudits especially when you score 4 points in a row , being 3 down wi...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022

Ferbane got the win a game of football that was entertaining but ultimately pales into insignificance when we consider the injury to Kieran Dolan , Kieran was having a brilliant game when he sustained the knee injury. It looked bad and hopefully he recovers. Best wishes to him, 3-14 to 3-11 Joe miss...

Re: Offaly Hurlers 2022

Davy would win joe mcdonagh in year one and promotion back to div 1 . Eddie Brennan would be a good choice, Anthony Daly, hurling mad and a leader that players would follow Michael Donohue hard to say he’s not the standout but a long shot Leo o Connor- stay with them young lads probably be best

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2022

Niall Mcnamee can’t play no.11 at county level anymore I think Nigel Dunne’s county days are behind him. Leaving ruairi Mcnamee out is also a big shout he’s very consistent in my opinion Yea in fairness I can see ruari might be hard done by so I’d have no issue with him starting. With Niall and Nig...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2022

Whoever is the manager we need to get the best players on the panel. My preference of a team although to be fair it changes so often , but overall these should be the lads on our 35 man panel 1. Patrick Dunican 2. Lee Pearson. 3. Declan Hogan. 4. David Dempsey 5. John Furlong. 6. John Maloney. 7. An...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022

Tullamore won a game this evening that champions win, a dogfight and Ferbane missed so many opportunities it could have been different, Ferbane will still make it through and more than likely take care of shamrocks to secure a 1/4 spot but the blues will go to semi final straight. Both teams were ph...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022

Cappincur were very unlucky this evening they really battled hard throughout and after being so dominant in the first half they will be kicking themselves they didn’t win this one. Bill Carroll had a towering game and as a unit they defended heroically at times. Shamrocks came good in the second hal...

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022

A bit late but can Belmont win the championship if Oisin Kelly gets back ? Or are they just not good enough to beat st rynaghs or KK when it really matters
