Re: Why
If a player ( or players) did not arrive in good time for training without having informed Management in advance then action has to be taken. The suggestion of "arriving late worse for wear" is horrendous and were it true the culprit (or culprits) should never be allowed wear The Jersey ev...

Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
I had a lot of things on my mind to post, positives & negatives but on reading the last few posts I have to agree with Truth as i see it Bigger Picture So there is plenty to take from a suscessfull League campaign, lots to learn and a lot of young players who have had some good days while Niall ...

Re: minor football and hurling
Down by 8 points before HT & won by 11, that is a great result for Offaly and some turn-up for the the Royals who have been talking, not just Leinster , but All Ireland. Of course they are not out as they get another chance but I loved the head-line on Hogan Stand "Steam-rolled". Well ...

Re: Hurling Man – a Breed Apart
This has to be the most stupid attitude of all. Wont go to support club or county in Tullamore but we can be sure will go to Thurles to see other clubs/counties. I have attended games in Tullamore & Birr ( and back in the day played in Tullamore & Birr) and it would never have been an issue ...

Re: Hurling to return to St Brendan's Park
Should we hold fire on this debate until we know SBP is ready for games like national leagye or All Irl games.
I look forward to seeing a finished SBP

Re: Allianz-Hurling-league 1B
See Tommy Byrne is also on about "League restructuring" Of course its that all the so-called hurling counties (or some of their CB Officers & former "stars") seem to think they have a right to be in & stay in Div 1. They all seem to forget that they have to be good enough...

The main pitches are listed on:

While Birr is listed its one of the few that does not have its pitch size given

Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
Yesterday I might have sounded a bit negative and made some criticisms and I will always point out flaws BUT I am delighted that the lads have gained promotion. Yes they play defensively but Tipp were even more defensive and it did not work for them !!! At least there is a system and they are learni...

Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
On the attendance: The O'Byrne Cup was well promoted and Club Faithful was really getting goingthen. This thing of managers talking down the League (mostly those in Div 1 & 2 ) does not help attendance but at least I was happy to be there for a promotion win. As for the game: Great to win and go...

Re: Allianz-Hurling-league 1B
Plain of H: One thing from your Oy v Ant stats. Never play them in Birr !!!!!!!!!!!! On a serious note: I was out off contact all day & only got the result in the last hour, THey scored 21 points, in Belfast, now I am very happy with that !!! Sure someone at it might tell us they did not play we...

Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
This team are not world-beaters but they have put in the hardwork in the games I saw this year and are obviously much fitter than last year so the work must be being done in training. I have to admit not being to a lot of the games in recent years as I had another involvement but hell or high water ...

Close run by the sounds of it but a win is a win is a win...............
That form will hardly trouble Limerick but hopefully the players can lift it ...........

Re: All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013
Plain of........... There were in fact 2 wrong line ball calls, the one off the Thomas number 2 boot & the one off lads hand as well as the late 65 when the defender drove the ball over the end line ( but those watching TV: was it already wide and defender just wasting time hitting the ball away...

Re: All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013
Think Saints give edged it with a little bit more in attack and Congrats & Well done to them. Now if Mr Sexton never again refs an Offaly team it would help but his sending - offs were off the wall. OK maybe the first one but not long before there had been a very nasty chop on a K/K wrist ( Slev...
