Re: new football manager
The time is ticking away and the panel are at work trying to procure the new manager or management team. I think it is very important that this is done ASAP so that they can see the championship q finals and the finish of the championships to identify a panel to work with. Any ideas who are in the h...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012
excellent post GDFTP, enjoyed reading it and spot on. the reason the underage is so far back is because the co board continuously put the wrong people over teams consistently. they have zero knowledge of what is required at co level these days and put legend medalists in because they are able to sho...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
fair play brian mac for saying what you said, many wouldnt have the ba**s to admit to errors of judgement on a forum like this. What happened was wrong, but more importantly what was said was wrong. Ciaran macmanus has given his adult life to playing for offaly and is highly respected for it by 99% ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Club Championship 2011
Rynaghs by seven or eight for me i reckon. Tullamore still minus a lot of their main players. They drew with a very poor clareen team the last day. Clareen appeared to be set up totally wrong with eanna murphy at FF and tom carroll at midfield which is ludicrous in my opinion. Clareen have some good...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
Apparently Williamson walked out of Tullamore over two months ago when things started going bad and was then disappointed that he wasnt selected for Edenderry game and decided to leave. Probably a good footballer but always seemed to be to be more interested in himself looking good than the team win...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
from what i can gather, Tullamore can conceivably still make the quarters, though it is highly unlikely given that they would have to win both games left. They would also need to have a better scoring difference than other teams on four points, again highly unlikely given that they were hockeyed by ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
Ferbane got a bit of a pasting v rhode last night but in reality could and should have been a lot closer had they converted 3 clear goal chances in the second half. Tullamore looked the better team for long spells v Edenderry but their young players probably lacked experience near the finish. They s...

Re: Offaly Hurlers catch a break?
very easy solution to it and agree that the stronger counties are looking after themselves, how about two groups of seven for div 1a and 1b. that way Tipp Cork KK, waterford, dublin galway and Limerick play in 1A while Wexford, Clare Offaly laois, Antrim westmeath and carlow play in 1B. 8/9 teams th...

Re: Tullamore in a little bit of bother?
heard that Tullamore are in serious bother alright, with only 8 or ten turning up for training and some of them are former junior players who will end up playing senior this year having lost up to 15 seniors from them successful teams of a few years ago. its a sad state of affairs fo a club that wer...

Re: new football manager
i think that when Cribbin does come to a rational decision, he will realise that it is time to move on. He has had his time. No major progress has been made really with OY still in the same place as when he took charge unlike pat roe who brought them from div 1 to div 4 in 2 years. he took over a te...

want to give yerself two hours door to door from tullamore, 2 and half from edenderry where you can go down the motorway bypassing roscrea and nenagh, there is a new bypass around city, take first exit for castletroy off new road. head in past anacotty and ul to park way roundabout where you keep ri...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
there is bias against clubs from both sides of the county depending on the person that takes charge of the team. An example I could give was the under 21s last year. Coolderry won the county championship yet didnt have anyone on the team? Tell me what other county in Ireland has this ever happened ...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
No chip on any shoulder here, just an honest thought that reflects what most knowledgable people think. Tell me what is wrong about anything i have said.... Yes Waters may have played v KK but was sub v westmeath in the first round and was only picked after because Damien Fox was a selector and The ...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
Agree GDFTP. The horror stories i hear about their training regime is absolutely pathetic. The senior players had no contact with this panel until after they were beaten by the dubs in senior. they were ran around the place with no hurling being done like a bad junior football team till a few weeks ...
