Re: Offaly v Westmeath, Mullingar, Sunday 1st May
I have to say, I'm a regular reader here, but a rare poster. Just to pick up on a few points and the dismay surrounding the county team's performance, most notably at the weekend, while disappointing, is hardly surprising. We'll come to that in a minute, but I just feel that to vilify any player, or...

Lads Conor Clancy isn't even on the panel. It was Conor Slevin who played in goals v Portumna. Currently not on the panel either include James Mulrooney, Thomas Carroll, Dan Kelliher, Dermot Shortt, Damien Egan, Sean Dolan, David King, Gary Connelly and Michael Cleary who have all either been droppe...

Kilcormac/Killoughey V. Oulart The Ballagh
This coming Sunday represents a huge day for this Kilcormac/Killoughey team. Since the end of this years club championships, I have said that if KK win Leinster again, I will be mightily impressed. The ball is still in their court, and they are well equipped to do so. Having won last years Leinster ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Championship 2013
Clareen Og, which POTH, as I have asked you wont refer to them as, considering 9 Drumcullen players started the first period of extra time for Clareen Og, but then again you rarely refer to Drumcullen in anything other than negative terms, were the better team over the course of what was indeed a cr...

Birr v Kilcormac/Killoughey - Birr being tipped here by a lot, but you dont go from within John Sextons whistles of an All-Ireland, to being seen as underdogs to a Birr team not operating at the same level as of years back all of a sudden. Birr, like many clubs seem in a period of transition, and th...

Re: Hurling Championship
I had this posted on a separate thread, so I'll add my two cents... Sunday 7th October becomes a red-letter day for both St.Rynaghs and Kilcormac/Killoughey GAA Clubs. A day when both aim to bury demons of different sorts. KK, come in weight the added pressure of having never won a senior title, whe...

Senior County Hurling Final
Sunday 7th October becomes a red-letter day for both St.Rynaghs and Kilcormac/Killoughey GAA Clubs. A day when both aim to bury demons of different sorts. KK, come in weight the added pressure of having never won a senior title, when, at different stages they were widely expected to do so. Rynaghs h...

Re: Offaly's dual players
Are yu sure, A? The records section of this site lists the five subs in that match as - Seán Ryan, Rory Connor, James Coughlan, Willie Mulhall and Shane Sullivan, but I will try and confirm that. Conor Mahon was a county footballer before he was a hurler, coming on as a sub against Carlow for his s...

For all his size, strength and athleticism, does no one else think that Conor Mahon is struggling badly and way out of his depth at the minute?

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
Thanks for enquiring. The drainage consists of a network of pipes which lead to a soakage pit underneath the carpark. This was installed when the pitch was developed in 1989/90, so there was no ‘upheaval’, as you say. Hence the need for the ‘fall’ in the ground, which is unfortunate but necessary. ...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
I know you don't have a clue but anyway. There's plenty of hurling played on our pitch. Our U14s played Drumcullen there on Friday evening. The Camogie team had a match there yesterday (Saturday) evening. There was the U21 today while tomorrow our U16s play Clareen. Maybe if other clubs installed d...
