Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Really happy with the way things worked out for our Seniors and U20 players against Kerry. I expect we will more than likely line out similar to the KK game. Would others be of the same opinion? Agreed. Plenty have been quick to criticise managements for use of players. I think Johnny Kelly should ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Offaly used 21 players in last year’s Joe McDonagh final. Stephen Corcoran - now sub goalie. Dara Maher - sent off early on and has never regained his spot. Ciaran Burke - still no.3. Ben Conneely - still no.4. David King - briefly dropped out of starting team but good performances against Laois and...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
As expected, Offaly open at 4/5 and -1 on the handicap.faithfulfanatic wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:08 am PP have Offaly as 4/6 to win the title, meaning they will probably be close to 4/5 to win the game in normal time.
That's a 1 point handicap.
I'd expect Offaly to go off as 3 or 4 point favourites and closer to 1/2.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Yeah you'd expect the team on the stronger side , I'd say Wednesday will have a bearing on it one way or the other. Not sure we need to bring our key key players on a 4 hour round trip to northeast down. That drive would'nt do any of our hips and hamstrings any good let alone lads playing week in a...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Just a thought what are the chances of cormac egan being drafted in for the hurling if football is finished or can that even happen if the request was made by johny Kelly Just thinking on the basis we have a few players with injuries just his addition to the under 20 last year was brilliant great p...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
There is absolutely no team selection dilemma for Johnny Kelly. There shouldn’t be but I’d imagine Kelly will want to play them as his job is gone if they lose. Which if comes to pass shows Johnny Kelly is more concerned about his own managerial career than the development of Offaly hurling. All U2...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
A lot of commenters on the Kilkenny GAA forum saying that senior management and the county board were unaware that the new 60-hour rule is not yet in place and that Doyle would be ineligible for this evening. It was discussed at a KK county board meeting last night. What makes it all the more comica...

Re: Offaly Under 20s hurling 2024
Galway are now only 4 point favourites against Dublin in the other semi final. They went off as 8 point favourites in the group and beat Dublin by 16. Priced at 1/3 to win tonight. This comes on the back of Galway team news, revealing their 2 talisman forwards Darren Shaughnessy and Aaron Niland mis...

Re: InterCounty Hurling Championship 2024
I know there is a Carlow supporter here the odd time. Congrats on the result versus your near neighbours. Like ourselves, hurling mad and always longing for a day in the sun. Fully deserved result on Saturday versus Kilkenny and I hope they push on against Wexford and Antrim. Don't get me wrong, las...
