Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
Declan Kelly has to go it’s as simple as that. There is no argument for keeping him. 3 wins from 12 games (including a hammering from down on the way) A Tailteann cup group where 3 teams qualify and we’ve managed to be knocked out after 2 rounds.. that’s nearly hard to do if you tried. -22 score dif...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
4 changes to Offaly team named
Declan Hogan for Cathal Donoghue
Jack O’Brien for Rory Egan
Ruairi Mcnamee for Cathal Flynn
Nigel Dunne for Cian Farrell
Presume that means Peter Cunningham to midfield.

Re: U20 footballers 2024
I said this last week when we won so this isn’t me jumping on after a loss but the way this team has been coached is nothing short of abysmal. No ambition to go forward to risk taking no interest in pressing the ball high after it’s lost the only instruction seems to be turn around and sprint back t...

Re: U20 footballers 2024
That was one of the worst games of football I’ve seen in a long time. Terrible style of play by both teams. It’s shocking the way the game has gone that this is what underage players are being coached to do before they even get to senior level. Serious questions need to be asked of management teams ...

Anton out for Cathal Flynn today.
Let’s hope it’s a straight forward afternoon and we aren’t checking the result in Belfast.

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2024
I heard Panda has left the panel due to a toxic atmosphere. He wouldn’t be the type who would be causing trouble but this isn’t a good thing to be hearing before a competitive match has even been played you’d think if he gave the commitment for the full winter training he would at least give it anot...

Re: Club football championship 2023
He had 5 touches of the ball and turned it into 0-3 on a day like that when scores were at a premium that’s fairly impressive, was the only Ferbane player to score in the 2nd half and the top scorer on the field, he lost one ball where a harsh free was given for touching the ball on the ground, not ...

Re: Club football championship 2023
Why wouldn’t they? 6 changes in personnel since the group stages, beat the reigning champions in the semi-final, Tullamore were lucky to get over the line against an edenderry team in disarray. This is a 50/50 game anyone who thinks Tullamore will win easy is living in the clouds

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
That’s a false score line lads ballinamere are nowhere near as good as everyone thinks they are. The goal came in the 69th minute on a counter attack and it was a one point game with 5 minutes to go and Belmont played the whole 2nd half with 14 men already minus their two best players Oisin Kelly an...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Not sure Belmont will hit 3-17 especially with all the injuries think Ballinamere will win that one. I’m a football man but isn’t the hurling championship a lot more competitive and open? There’s 6 teams who will believe they can win it , where as the football is Rhode and Tullamore only to be chall...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
As pointed out in a previous post up front was a shambles the last day, watched Rhode and Ferbane in the league on Friday Aaron Kellaghan kicked some great scores Cian Johnson scored 1-5 two young lads who committed to the training this year but we’re cast aside and now we are only carrying 28 playe...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Sligo put up 2-20 against London over in London, you know what I mean Cavan and Down are streets ahead of us so can’t see us winning it, county squads typically have 35 players so you have 9 lads who don’t even make the match day squad at the moment anyone who is in there gets to tog out so what’s t...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
That performance today wouldn’t inspire much confidence for our tailteann cup campaign. 16 scores to 11 against a team who didn’t win a game in division 4, 0-1 between three starting forwards Anton ruairi and maher. No urgency at all too many slow attacks London we’re there to be hammered any team w...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Completely different that’s a semi-final not a quarter, Meath are bitter rivals to Westmeath which makes it bigger and that was the first team Westmeath had ever beaten them in the championship so they done something which had never been done before, did Offaly do that on Sunday?

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Lads I don’t mean to rain on the parade here but I thought the celebrations were a bit much if you didn’t know what the game meant you’d have sworn we won the Leinster championship, lads doing knee slides and punching the ground after winning a quarter final says a lot about where we are at, Don’t g...
