Re: Club football and hurling managers 2033
Shane Curley from Roscommon to take over in Belmont. Unsure if that is coaching and/or management. Had previously been with Four Roads and Cappataggle. I say it must be the coaching side of things going by the last paragraph of this article. https://roscommonpeople.ie/no-complacency-in-four-roads-c...

Re: Club football championship 2023
Not so sure about that one. Johnson lost a couple of balls and got turned over at least twice. I doubt he was fully fit and if he had started, its unlikely he would have lasted a full game for fitness reasons. I'd imagine the intention was to have him there at the finish rather than not. Ferbane we...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
To be honest If you think Ferbane’s 1 county final win in 25 years (and still ZERO hurling titles) bothers me..... It’s actually Belmont in hurling, Mr. Grammar Police. But if you want to go there, atleast they actually give it a go in both codes and are always in contention which no doubt hampers ...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
Is Cian Johnson the new Niall McNamee? Lads here getting very excited. As a matter of interest how many inter county senior championship matches has he started for Offaly? I think you might be the one getting excited, proclaiming Rhode as the winners after beating a very poor Durrow side that lost ...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
Doonexile I think you could be eating humble pie in a few weeks time on those comments. He hasn’t trained in a month since the league final and was visibly limping in the second half.Sat out the cappincur game because he thought Ferbane would’ve been good enough to win without him clearly injured y...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
Was at the Tullamore v Ferbane game. Tullamore probably did just enough to win albeit they were significantly helped by soft goal in the first half at a time they were struggling to get a grip on the game. Ferbane will rue a number of bad wides but their shot selection was very poor at times. Johns...

Re: Minors hurlers 2022
It’s clear now that the GAA have realised they’ve cocked up with tomorrow’s game. Nowlan Park’s events control manager has been on the airwaves telling people that everything is under control yet revealed they’ve sold 19,000 adult tickets. 19,000 adults plus the 2,500 U16’s going on official club bu...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2022
Info is coming from this interview which is worth a listen https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0chnyxm?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile All told, reckon (and sounds like) it could be T O Se's gig to turn down, particularly if Declan Kelly is not going forward. Agreed, it’s O’Sé’s job if he ...

Re: Minors hurlers 2022
2500 tickets for juvenile groups in the ardan o cearbhaill stand alone plus the 25 % in each stand. Clubs sending buses had to register with county board so that they know whose coming. They know its a big game and will be ready. Turnstiles and stewards won't be an issue this time like in laois. Po...

Re: Minors hurlers 2022
Message sent out to all clubs. 25 % of tickets held back in each stand to cater for free u16s. 25% is hardly enough, that would be an average of one u16 for every 4 adults, it’ll be closer to one u16 for every 2 adults. Also, does that mean this game could sell out in the next 24/48 hours but actua...
