Congratulations to Offaly Ladies on their win in the All Ireland Junior Final today in Croke Park.

They made it hard, only leading by 3 at half time having played with a strong wind but they defended brilliantly in the second half and picked off some great scores in the second half.

Well done all involved

On the other hand, the Lorraine Keena's knee injury (which she appeared to carry into the game) looked serious and I do hope she can fully recover.

Offaly was one of the pioneering counties for ladies football, so it's great to see the sport on an upward curve.

Did I hear right on the Sunday Game that Offaly now go straight to Senior and not Intermediate? Well done on a great year (and performance especially missing your first choice centre back and losing your centre forward through injury)!

It was said on Sunday game that they would go senior. As so often with RTE and an out of touch past player, they were wrong.

Offal will be Intermediate next year.
