Ignore the lazy guff in the media about the US presidential race being "a dead heat", "too close to call" and "neck and neck", Obama has a second term all but wrapped up.
He leads in the polls in most of the swing states and Romney needs to win nearly all of these to get elected.
Romney is the GAA equivalent of an Offaly hurling team 4 points down at half time against Kilkenny. Not impossible, but not likely either.

So with 4 more years in the Oval Office, we should expect him to make good on his promise to visit his Offaly relations again!

It's a pity Shinrone were too slow in claiming him coz Moneygall is Offaly in name only. I worked down there in the week prior and on the day of the visit and it killed me to see all the Tipp flags flying, and hardly an Offaly one in sight.

Also we stopped in Ollie Hayes on the way back from a stag late last year and we were nearly thrown out for singing the Offaly Rover.

Romney has yet to concede at 1221 AM. The election was called an hour ago. I'm about to bail.

Obama has 290 electoral votes and a small lead in Florida and Virginia 29 and 13 electoral votes respectively.

The popular vote has narrowed to just about 50/50 at this point.
