All-Ireland series unfair on provincial finalists

Well, thought this would be a worth-while topic to throw up. Páraic Duffy's comments above would be pretty much on the money with how I feel and I think this is the typical knee-jerk reaction B.S. that comes from the media, tabloid and broadsheet alike....although, I'm not sure there's a difference anymore

I've only added two options on the poll, feel free to elaborate on your reasons as I'd imagine there would be a few reasons for either answer.

And what about the team which loses the All-Ireland Final - there's no second chance for them. Something will have to be done for them.

What they seem to deliberately ignore is that there is effectively two competitions. Provincial and All Ireland.

Everyone gets 1 chance in their Provincial Championship
Everyone gets 1 chance in the All Ireland Championship.

The only difference is the further you go in the provincial championship the more 'byes' you get in the All Ireland. Two different competitions.

The only change I would make is that I would look at giving beaten finalists more than 6 days before they play in the All Ireland Qualifiers. Not so much from a physical standpoint, but from a mental perspective it must be hard if you are a Sligo or Monaghan to get back up 6 days later.

Remember its Jack O'Connor and Mickey Harte who talked about this after last weeks games in an attempt to divert attention from both Tyrone and Kerrys collapse and it has worked! They both lost fair and square yet there's is this feeling being pushed by the media that they were hard done by. I don't get it...they lost end of story. Both Harte and O'Connor are trying to protect their 6 figure salaries for another year in my opinion.
