i think the year was 2005 . it was the same year if you got a yellow card you had to go off and someone else came
on for you offaly got 2 or 3 yellow's the same day.

Indeed it was the 2005 Walsh Cup.

I believe the short lived sin-bin was in place at that stage. A few managers kicked up and it was scrapped a couple of weeks later when the leagues started.
Demonstrating that the GAA operates on snap reactionary decision making, rather than following a greater vision.

The system off forcing a yellow carded player to be taken off for the entire game was much worse, farcical actually.
