Our club didn't make a good effort for Lá na gclub last year. We are hoping to make a better fist of it this year. Has anyone any ideas or suggestions on what worked well for other clubs last year. Cheers.

Let's rephrase that Slieve Bloom Man-We didnt make ANY effort last year. Talks of parade from village, underage exhibitions, married v single, tug of war, the usual loolaa. More importantly will we beat Shinrone tomorrow night?

I'm not sure about this club day again. Fair enough last year was the 125th anniversary but did I hear that there would be no fixtures on the 8th/9th May because of this? If thats true then I'd far rather see a round of championship matches being run off instead.

We had an underage competition, a skills competition for the seniors, a "musem" of old photo's medals and the like, a mass and a few other things that went down really well. Everyone had a great day. I can see arguments for having it again and for not having it again but all I know is we were blessed with the weather!

What a waste of a weekend, with all the moaning and groaning over club matches being put to one side for months on end during the year there is absolutley no reason why championship club matches cannot be played on this particular weekend. Ridiculous. :x

Father Derek Beeching: Is there nothing to be said for another mass?
