Grip changing? I ll take your word for it.. Cack handers by your understanding of it are lads who are stronger on what should be their weak side, that the play across their body? This can make them harder to hook though.

Harder to hook because there is less of the hurl exposed because much of the hurl is shielded from behind by the body.
Easier to hook because chances are the lad is going to strike is going to use their backhand, so, less unpredictability. Instance Corbett's winning point v Galway last summer when the Galway defenders forgot he was ALWAYS going to strike using his right, but covered his left unnecessarily.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.
"Offaly's hurling is exact and abrasive: full of assurance on the ball, devoid of fumbling and slicing and sod-busting". Kevin Cashman RIP (September 1994).

James Rigney looks set to miss out on Offaly's entire All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship campaign after suffering an arm injury in training.
The Faithful star suffered damage to the same arm which he broke against Cork back in February in the National Hurling League and is set to be sidelined for at least two months.
Rigney had been on course to make his return to competitive action against Dublin in the Leinster SHC at the end of this month, but this latest set-back is likely to rule him out of inter-county hurling until next year.

He is so bad in goal he needs the net in front of him.
