Good game to get anyway as if you win away to Clare its clear you could compete, whereas a win against many of the other teams we could draw would not indicate much.
With right atitude we should have enough to have this a tight game that can go either way.

Better off playing a strong team in my opinion starting off and if they are not up for it properly it will tell.
I think that a game like that against a Galway team smarting from the performance against Leitrim is not a bad sign anyway.
All the best again to them and I would expect to travel and Ennis not a bad aul town for a few sociables.

Maybe we have turned corner a bit and win v Galway is great for morale. Getting more time into the returnees is obviously a good thing too! All things being right, there should be little between the teams in this one. Going back over the last 10 years or so when we were up against them in league, there was less than 3 between them either way in most games we played each other. They were 5th or 6th in Div 3 this year so they are no world beaters certainly and have slipped a good bit from where they were under Colm Collins. Maybe they gave Kerry a bit of a game but remember that would be like Offaly playing Kildare - a local derby. If you cant get yourself up for those challenges then you'd have little about you. While the gap was 8 points or so between Clare and Kerry, you could comfortably say that if Kerry really wanted to do a number on them, they could have done.

Hoping players go down with point to prove after the bad Laois performance.

Offaly b team beat a team in training game this morning I don’t know if that’s good or bad probably bad that lads who can’t make the team are capable of beating are so called best players

Poland Johnson and Plunkett ran amuck seemingly expect changes in Ennis!

More often than not the B team will beat the A team. Heard it multiple times. "A" players know that they are starting bar maybe 1 or 2 and b players desperate to impress.

I wouldn’t be of that opinion at all, motivation will get you see far your second string shouldn’t have the quality to beat your first team or there’s something seriously wrong. It’s not as if our first team players are doing amazing probably only 5 players absolutely guaranteed a spot

The bottom team in division 2? Literally not a surprise at all, the most likely team from the top 2 divisions not to make the all ireland series is the one who finishes bottom of division 2

Bottom team in Div 2 will rarely play in Sam Maguire based on league form as they are often trumped by a lower tier team who might make a provincial final.

Only way Offaly play in Sam Maguire was to reach Leinster Final. You'd have to admire how Westmeath have done over last number of years with largely little underage success. They've played in good few Leinster finals now over last 10 years or so. That is something we should be aiming for. Kildare will be sickened with that loss after bad year to date. You'd imagine that likes of Down, Wexford and Laois will be among favourites now for the Tailteann Cup. Likes of Carlow Limerick and Clare will also fancy themselves to get a run. By right we should be one of favourites as one of the higher ranking teams but the year to date suggests we will struggle to go three games deep bar we get a favourable draw or two.

If we can't win the taligan cup this year with the counties in it then what are we at? Who's in it? No westmeath, kildare, louth etc in it.

Well lads prediction for this weekends game? think it’s a hard one to know where we are at year couldn’t have gone any worse to date 8 losses on the bounce Laois game was a long time ago at this stage so have we improved since then word is Galway challenge and training went well so hope there is a huge performance in us to put some pride back in the jersey. Clare were decent against Kerry so possibility that we play well and still lose but I would take the worst display and a 1 point win we just need something to get our year started If we lose again how do you possibly pick them up.
