Sean Og Farrell (unrelated to Cillian as far as I know) was another from the East of the county who suffered due to this geographical location! A few 10 minute league appearences is all he got if I remember. Although a spell playing Junior C with Ballyfore probably hindered his cause even more when in his prime. Haven't seen his name about recently for Edenderry.

Sean og was a fine hurler don't think geographical was the reason he didn't make it people seem to forget when sean og and cillian farrell were on the panel
offaly hurling was at its best and had a very good bunch of hurlers minors of 86,87,89, under 21 teams of 89,91,92, .
i know the farrells played underage with sean og on the under 21 team of 92, but with johnny pilkington and daithi regan and johnny dooley that went to
midfield or Duignan who could played there as well, Cillian was up again the 3 dooleys john troy, Declan pilkington , Daithi regan played full forward or centre
as well so they were up again great players at the time. if they were out now they would get more games with the county its just they came when we had
our best group of players ever.
