Offaly as a small, dual country with a recent history of little success tends to have small support.
I’d hope for an improved Offaly crowd on recent offerings but, given the above, and that Cork will be heavy heavy favourites, I think we’ll be outnumbered 6/7 to 1 easily.

So if Cork bring 35k, you’d expect 5k from Offaly?

It will be more like 30k to 10-12k

Unfortunately not a hope of Offaly bringing close to 10k. I’d say we’ll do well to bring 5k. If they didn’t got to tullamore for any of thr 3 games, I can’t see them going to thurles.

Looking forward to it. There was around 8k at the Wexford game. So I'd say we'll bring over 5k but probably not over 10k. Cork won't bring their usual 30-45k as they will be expecting at least 1 and probably 2 more days out. Possibly 20k Cork fans.

Must've been plenty of money placed on Cork today, in from 1/16 to 1/40. For what it's worth, I think we'll give them a better game than what some out there are predicting and I really hope we are at least in the game in the 2nd half. Preventing them from getting a dominant run on us will be vital. Will be great experience for our lads either way.

It will be a huge game in the evolution of this team.
We need to summon up the fighting spirit shown in the 2000 AI semi final.
Btw, what a dislikable individual Ben O’Connor is, an Offaly win, just to hear him whine would be fantastic.

It's allocated seating. €40 for stand. Not sure of pricing for terrace.

Clubs are getting tickets to distribute as well, if anyone is set on the stand and doesn't get it via the public sale, there will be a limited amount of stand tickets for every club in the coming days.

A very sparse selection in the public sale there. Nearly all end of the stands.

I would HOPE that the Offaly board pitched for a high number on our allocation on the basis of not having the stadium jammed with Corkies.
Maybe a bit of a push would see an Offaly sell a decentish allocation by the end.

But if they only took a small number and decided to let Ticketmaster do the rest, then we're goosed.

I hemmed and hawed about taking back row in the corner stand tickets, and they were snapped up in a few minutes then. Nothing available on TM at present. Fairly confident of having tickets through the club anyways. Us being outnumbered is inevitable, it's just a case of by what degree.

Absolutely. But if you let normal market forces dictate, then there'll be 3,000 hardcore Offaly heads there and 42,000 hardcore Cork heads there.
Take a 12,000 ticket allocation and you could have 3,000 hardcore Offaly, 3,000 Offaly who were persuaded to go along in the build up and 3,000 who went cos the weather forecast was good, they had a lift, a chance to go on the beer etc. Give back 3,000 spares at the end if you have to. A few thousand Corkies locked out and seething is not our problem.
