Almost at the finish line now, and none of the prizes are guaranteed yet with one week to go, though Phoenix is looking very strong for the league. All three league leaders got three points this week, though DD hit the bar with the Rhode Clara match, tipping a draw. A late equaliser and we would have had joint leaders on top of the table. As it is he or Hocker will need to find something in the last weekend to push themselves over the line.

In the McCormack Cup final, Swiftpost takes a 3-1 lead into the second leg after correctly calling three goals, while the Regan Cup decider is finely balanced at three each, again the three goal tally was the correct call in both cases. Unsurprisingly no-one picked Ross Brady to be top scorer, while no-one got the two points for calling Roy Malone either since his 1-2 tally was enough to give two points out.

Marginally controversially, no one got the starting midfielder or back question either – since I did specify to score a point. I don’t really recall why I did this or even doing it intentionally, but seeing as it was written down as to score a point, I can’t allow three points for Ross Brady, which a lot of people called. The only scoring answers would have been Scott Brady or Matt Mitchell, neither of which were nominated by anyone.

In the spirt of GAA I'm going to challenge this to the letter of the law and not the spirt!! TECHNICALLY a goal is worth three points, thus making Ross Brady the scorer of the first point, second point and third point!!
