Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I presume we are looking at a Q-Final double header in Thurles?
Offaly vs Cork/Limerick
Clare vs Galway/Dublin.
These Q-Finals are notoriously poorly attended due in no large part to the fact they are usually played on a Saturday. In fact I think 2 years ago the first one threw in at some ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Great to get the win you looked like we were goosed when they got it back to 1 but hyland stood up he is fantastic
They put pressure on our kickouts thought Melia did well to get short ones away in 2nd half especially
They butchered an awful amount of chances both goals and 2 point efforts you ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
What is the full list of teams and how many games do we need to win to win it out ?
Savage win this evening fair play to them for turning it around.
If we were to win the tailtean cup where does it leave us next year.
We were in Round 2A, the winners round. Laois also won in that. Fermanagh v ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Fantastic win - probably now the 2 best teams left in it, so if we are to get to a final, it will probably be Down again.
Clare beaten by Longford, Laois beat London, Leitrim beat Carlow and Wicklow beat Fermanagh.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Fair enough, yet he carried us game on game (if not tell me where some other player led the charge) in many of the lower tiered games/competitions.. A Year or two out and back again last year, more than likely that pace and drive would not be there now at this level, very unfair to say at ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I remember getting crucified for suggesting he wasnt the right fit for centre bacm about 18 months or so ago, but anyone in oconnor park the last few weeks can see he does not suit intercounty hurling.
He was a very good servant to offaly in bad times and should be commended, but even in ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
If available would Killian Kiely and indeed Cathal Kiely be great players to have now we are competitive again at a higher level, before anyone who doesn't like them starts, both carried us through the wilderness of Christy Ring and and JMcD tournaments when we hadn't a pot to p*ss in back then ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
We were hurling against a massive wind in the first half, we did well to be within 4 or 5 points.
We started slow in the second half, which wasn’t helped by Wexford’s negative tactics and time wasting.
If ye think Offaly weren’t the better team over the course of the game, then I hope ye see ...

Re: Club Football 2026
Iv heard this morning from a fairly reliable source that Leon Fox, Joe Maher, Ronan Maguire, Jack Egan & Bernard Corcoran have all returned to play for Ferbane this year.
And there were fellas in this forum that tried to tell me Ger Rafferty wasn’t an issue in Ferbane the last few years.
Jack ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Ravenhill King and Screeney in for Mitchell Spain and Watkins.
Harsh enough on Watkins imo, I’d have kept him in over Ravenhill

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I’m 85% sure that it was a 65, Oisin pulled at the ball and the Kilkenny man stuck his hand out and deflected off it.
Umpire was about to give a 65 until Johnny Murphy told him to wave it wide, but when Murphy went in to his umpires he changed his mind, so they were clearly pretty certain it was a ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
they went toe to toe in Div 1b with both Clare and Dublin, losing out on scoring difference for final if i recall correctly..they were dismal v Kilkenny after a competitive start..they will trouble Offaly..wait and see..
They drew with 13 man Dublin in the league.
Clare were already promoted ...
