Re: Offaly Hurling 2026

Kevin Corrigan has the Offaly team tweeted in 4 separate articles, 1 on his own page, 1 for Tullamore Tribune, 1 for Midland Tribune and 1 for Offaly Express.
Dan Ravenhill in for Spain is the only change.

Team isn’t up on Offaly GAA Twitter or the Offaly GAA app yet - I’d imagine Kevin jumped ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026

Offaly as a small, dual country with a recent history of little success tends to have small support.
I’d hope for an improved Offaly crowd on recent offerings but, given the above, and that Cork will be heavy heavy favourites, I think we’ll be outnumbered 6/7 to 1 easily.

So if Cork bring ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026

Cork will definitely go for early blood.
Their problem may also our problem. They're well able to run up a massive score - if they have the edge on a team.
So we want to avoid an avalanche of goals anyway.

Are we going to see a repeat on the timber fest from the early exchanges in the 2023 U20 ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Great win yday.

Any updates on Flynn, Furlong or Dunican?
I thought they would be expected back by now.
Are they still out/still with panel/focussing on being ready for clubs?

They butchered Flynn's operation. We won't be seeing him unfortunately.

Won't be seeing the other 2 either ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

All that said, we are absolutely not 1/2 favourites for this game. 4/5, at a push. I wouldn't back against Offaly since I'd take no joy in collecting any money won and I'd feel twice as bad about losing money that way, but there are three obvious bets for me this weekend, and Wexford plus on the ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026

To be honest didnt see why Offaly played the game based on what i say.

We had our lads off soon after the first 25, not sure where you got the story of the crowd from lohan issue he seemed happy when birr chairman was chatting him.

One thing i noticed is cleary isnt up to that level.

Offaly ...

James Mahon, Ruairi Kelly and Ciaran Cleary started in their place.
Did the big man do any damage?
No, not at all.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026

Clyda Rovers had up on Twitter that they received 48 tickets. I’d imagine each cork club gets the same?

I wonder is this the same for Offaly or would each Offaly club get more given there are significantly less clubs?

In other news, Offaly hurled Clare last night in Birr ‘behind closed doors ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026

I had no problem with the amount of frees James Owens gave, both teams were ill-disciplined in the tackle.
He did fall for a few alright, where lads grabbed the hurl or dipped the head.
He gave Cork every chance to draw it too, he had gone a minute over before cork got the free.
If anything, he ...

Yes, it is in the best interests of the GAA to ensure Offaly get a hard draw 🙄🙄
